Petal Therapy

Have you ever sat and wondered what your exact purpose was? I have for years, it wasn't until I cut my distractions off this year that God spoke to me and gave me my divine purpose.  You have to know the story to understand the story. 2021 was the most rewarding yet roughest year of my life. I didn't know exactly what I was doing with my life, and couldn't shake this burdensome feeling. The only thing that gave me peace was flowers. At that point, I knew that I wanted flowers to be a part of my life for the rest of my life. 

Fast forward to January 2022 I realized that it was time that I step out on faith and take action. I held my first floral sale for Valentine's Day, and it was a huge success. I learned so much about myself at that time, and looking back it was one step toward alignment. On February 16, 2022, an ad for a $50,000 grant that FedEx was doing came across my screen. I thought perfect, I need money to get a floral cooler and to secure my floral studio. I read all the details of the grant and can you believe that they were announcing the winner on my birthday 5/4/22? I just knew from the bottom of my soul that the $50,000 was mines. There was a question on the application like all grants have, "If you won the grant, what would you use the funds for?" Of course, I named the items, but I went into more detail about the floral studio that would be held to do classes. I thought to myself, Yeah, but what type of classes, and that's when it hit me Floral Therapy classes.

On February 23, 2022, I got a call from a client that wanted a flower arrangement for his wife that day. Nerves could have said no it's too short notice, but I said I could make it happen. After work, I packed my son in the car and we headed out to Kroger to get flowers since my wholesaler was already closed. I went to the first Kroger and the quality was trash, so I headed to another Kroger, and my baby got sick and didn't even make it out of the car. I rushed home to meet my mom so she can take care of him while I headed back out to Kroger again. Finally got inside and they had no roses, instead of letting my anxiety get the best of me I rose to the occasion. I ended up at the Kroger in Inkster where I met my angel in disguise, Mrs. Yvonne.

Here I am just picking out flowers and she stopped me to tell me that they had some in clearance. I politely thanked her and told her those were no good, and she asked me how did I know? I took my time and taught her the difference between a juicy (booty) rose and a loose (booty) rose. At that time she told me flowers were her peace and something that relaxes her. At that moment I realized that God gave me floral therapy for a reason.

Since then God has bloomed this class too much more than I could ever have imagined. He gave me the name "The Pieces to My Petals" and every day I get more revelation as to why I got that name.
